2008 FEEDBACK
2008 FESTIVAL
FEEDBACK FROM THIS YEAR
'THEY CAME THEY PLAYED, THEY CONQUERED.....
My wife and I came to the Ashburton Blues Festival on Saturday and we had a fantastic day, we came initially to see the Feelgoods as I had not seen them since the seventies, We had not seen Smokestack or heard them before, we were totally blown away when you came on and played your set, with so much energy and great tunes it reminded me of the time I saw Dr Feelgood for the first time about ’76. The whole evening was amazing and it was so good to see the Feelgoods playing again, long may they reign.
Hopefully with the success of this first festival it will go on to be an annual event and grow, in which case we might have to consider moving from Torquay to Ashburton, congratulations on a first class event.'-Mick
'Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the Blues Festival on Saturday night.
It was brilliant - not sure we would have lasted the pace for the whole weekend! Well done to you and all your helpers for putting on such a wonderful event in Ashburton'- Wendy and John
'A big thank you for organising such a fine weekend. Hope you do it again next year.'- Hazel

'Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the festival. It was very well organised &
altogether a great event.I am full of admiration for you, taking such a risk,in uncertain circumstances. Here's to next year.
Of course, you do realise that when it's bigger than Glastonbury you'll look back nostalgically to the early days!' - Ron
'Many contratulations on a wonderful week-end of first-class blues music, from youngsters starting out to the very best in top-line acts. It was a fantastic Festival, and I do hope that you run again next year.' -Barbara
'Truly wicked weekend after 3 days of music and dancing, indoors and out (the buskers gave the town a really great feel, impossible to ignore that something was occuring!!) I have to congratulate you on a professional and awesome job done. For me the Wildcards and Vince Lee duo were the best of the weekend!! Fast furious, energy, showmanship brill.
Ian Parker got me in the end, talented if tortured chappy and all the back up bands and fringe gigs, the food laid on and the town effort, brill wicked. very well done, thanks, see ya next year' - Jane
